Terrafugia Transition: the world’s first car-plane

In case you’re afraid of heights, speeds of over 100mph and car/plane crashes, then you might not wanna read on because I have just found the world’s first road-legal airplane! Unreal as it is but the Terrafugia Transition is actually a car-plane that is as good in the air as it is on the road. It sounds insane but you really have to appreciate the crazy genius that has gone into the making of this monster to understand the beauty of this unbelievably illegal vehicle. The makers of the car-plane claim that the two-seater vehicle can easily reach cruise speeds of 115mph and a range of 460 miles on 23 mpg of gas or ethanol which is well and good except that parking is going to be a real bitch if and when you decide to buy this thing to hop between your business in the city and your lavish home in the country. Anywho, it promises to be one hell of a ride and I’d really like to watch out for the $148,000 miracle cruiser when it hits production late 2009.
