Toyota Supra donates its heart to Pontiac Solstice for transplant

Sports car Pontiac Solstice will soon get an 'Engine Transplant' from Toyota Supra. Engine swaps are not new but creating innovative ideas for various builds is indeed a challenge. One such man who is working hard on a similar experiment is Phlow.

A member of Car Lounge forum, Phlow turned out to be a doctor and performed the transplant on the small patient.Phlow wants to do it differently and the engine transplant is currently on a progressive mode.

Phlow says: “The reason for the swap is that the Solstice Aisin AR5 transmission bolts right up to the 2JZ via a 1jz bellhousing. It's basically an updated Aisin r154 they shoved into supra's." While Pontiac Solstice belongs to Pontiac division of General Motors, Toyota Supra is also a sports car from Toyota Motor Company.
