Tree Motorbikes: Not nearly as green as you'd think

In the times of growing environmental awareness, we’ve come to expect anything that looks like a tree to be environmentally friendly. That isn’t always the case, as the artistic tree motorbikes from Shi Jinsong clearly show. There isn’t a hidden message to be deciphered from these bikes, they’re the results of the artist’s desire to see a tree hurtling down the road at a speed greater than 100 kmph.

These sculptures basically are racing motorcycles covered in a tree. The artist’s work is a part of the “China – Contemporary Revival” exhibition at the Palazzo Reale, Milan, Italy. On another note, Shi Jinsong is quite a craftsman when it comes to giving weird looks to things, you’ve probably seen his dangerous (and awesome) range for babies.
