V24 with 3424hp is one hell of a roaring monster [video]

Auto nerds often go beyond what they’ve at their disposal. And here is a similar case, a 24-cylinder Detroit Diesel engine. Mike Harrah is really a creative man when put two V12 engines together to make this monster machine. Featuring twelve giant blowers and an estimated 3424hp and well over 5000 pound feet of torque, the machine is ready to take its new assignment. Well, yes, the V24 engines were earlier used to provide necessary force to spin the propeller of a ocean going yacht, but this one will be fitted in a custom Peterbilt semi truck, mated to an Allison transmission and mounted on a 40-foot-long chassis. The machine is as big as a car or weighs more than van. Hit the jump to hear this V24 monster roaring.
