BMW excels in creating powerful cars since it started making contemporary art cars way back in 1975. Some of its creations include elegant and modern vehicles, like coupe, roadsters, racing and production saloons. You will be happy to know that the BMW art cars will be exhibited at BMW museum in Munich until September 25 this year.

Though each one of these cars are at display in the museum in Munich, the people around the world would be able to tour them from the comfort of their home. BMW has decided to launch a virtual video of its 17 contemporary art cars collection. This video will show you some historic racing coverings and some renowned artists' statement from the field of art and culture. Some 17 artists have contributed to this amazing video from all parts of the world. Few to be named are Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein, Alexander Calder, Andy Warhol, A.R. Penck, David Hockney, Olafur Eliasson and Jenny Holzer.
The latest addition to this collection was created last year by Jeff Coons, when BMW completed its 35 years in the making of art cars series.
On this occasion Bill McAndrews, head of BMW Group Corporate Strategy and Communications, said that these 17 art cars have been created in the last four decades. This video tour is unique and new because it is an homage to these contemporary pieces of art. This way everyone around the world would be able to admire these cars.
