Volkswagen Beetle – Suzuki Katana give their DNA to a trike

Now that we’ve got talking about mashups, we might as well have a look at this Volkswagen-Suzuki motorcycle/ trike. Created by some dude called Rolly, the trike has the DNA of a 1600cc Volkswagen Beetle, and that of a Suzuki Katana 750.

Rolly calls his trike “a lot of fun,” and it really does look quite the part. The trike utilizes the Beetle’s powertrain, and uses the Katana’s forks for steering. Oh, and that beer keg-like thing is actually its fuel tank. A wooden stick dipped into the fuel tank serves the purpose of the fuel gauge, requiring the driver to dip the stick into the tank every time there’s a need to check fuel.
