The founder of replica car manufacturer Factory Five Racing, Mark Smith took diesel engine Volkswagen Jetta TDI, cut its 800 lbs of metal, reusing a large chunk of the chassis, including the entire safety structure and chipped, modded as well as moved its engine from driver’s front to behind. And the result appeared in the form of an extreme conversion of Volkswagen Jetta TDI into something that you’d surely look forward to driving, Smyth Performance G3F.

The best part is you’d do the conversion yourself with the Smyth Performance kit. All you need to do is to remove body panels, cut what’s left in half, replace the engine and transmission behind the driver and attach fiberglass body panels. What you will finally end in is a Smyth Performance G3F TDI car, with top a top speed of 140mph and a fuel economy of 60mpg on the highway. As it’s a diesel mill, you can go green with bio-diesel. The whole thing will cost you about $10,000 and less than 100 hours of labor.
