Volkswagen has answered the queries raised by its ante at Worthersee 2007 with the Golf W12 650 concept. Since 1982, fans come together to celebrate the heart of the GT1 concept at Worthersee in Austria.

Eversince its inception 1.67 million people have chosen to drive the GT1 making it a legend and the GT1 W12 650 has come up at the right time to pay homage to its fan following , giving them one more reason to celebrate.
This monster is not just like any other Golf on the road and is purely a show car. It is more in every sphere; it is more in power, more in width & more in speed. It just appears like a race car from the track .It has got a 6.0 Liter bi-turbo engine, which is placed right behind the driver and the passenger seat, as it is longitudinally mounted which makes it different from the traditional car with a center engine.
It has a 6 speed automatic transmission which produces a maximum torque of 554lb-ft .It makes 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, having a maximum speed of 325 km/h. making it capable of leaving behind the best in the business.
The only thing it retains from the production car is its doors, hood & lights; rest of it is all new. To provide the 6 liter engine with sufficient air, C-pillars are redesigned to route the air to the 12 cylinder engine .As to keep the cars grip on the runway its carbon fiber roof acts as a giant diffuser that channels air beneath the minute spoiler at its sprawling edge.

W12 also carries the style with the speed it has; 19inches alloy wheels, two big scoops on both the sides to supply air to its engine which is placed in the middle, a serious work has been done on both the bumpers, an extra widened body makes it look apart from ordinary line of production models and it stands alone making a statement.
The Volkswagen has broken the rules and the GT1 W12 650 has emerged as a true super car, let us just hope that people don't undermine it, considering the background it comes from, otherwise this making to production , will become a distinct possibility .
