World’s longest articulated bus debuts in Brazil

Environment concerns are increasingly gaining ground. Not only people but governments across the globe are taking the concerns seriously and taking measures to save environment. And what's better if the public transportation even goes green. Example is set in Brazil where an eco friendly bus has been unveiled for public transportation.

You might have seen many buses but the one pictured above is what the Curitiba City Hall deems as the World’s longest articulated bus. It’s not a concept and you have not to wait for it longer either as the bus has debuted in Curitiba on April 5, 2011.

Made by Volvo in Brazil, the bus measures 28 meters in length and 2.6 meters in width and has a capacity to carry 250 passengers at a time. On the top of this, it’s going to provide emission free transportation to the public for it gets power from the biodiesel made from soybeans. The bus is going into the service on the city’s public transportation grid soon.
