Who hasn’t heard about the Fiat Punto; it is the premium hatch back that is well known across automobile segments for its performance and styling. Its diesel version is considered to be the most powerful in the segment, with a 1.3L Multi-jet diesel engine and a maximum horsepower of 90hp at 4000rpm. Its peak torque stands at 209Nm at 2000rom. But, all this hasn’t boosted the sales, therefore the company decided to launch a limited edition Punto 90HP Sports variant.

This variant is also being referred as the Grande Punto 90HP and this sporty version is said to include a chrome accented interior with blackened roof and red stitching on the gear knob and the gear cover. Also there is a colour coded Outside Rear View Mirrors, along with racing stripes, metallic pedals, sport branded body decals and chrome exhaust tip. The car will reportedly be available in three colours, red, black and white and it's to cost 7.36 lakhs to would be customers.
Whether there will be any modifications in the engine configuration for giving it a sporty drive, is not clear yet. The company has chosen Fiat Caffe in Pune, Maharashtra for the debut of the limited edition car. The launch of this car is an effort toward building a stronger brand in India as the year 2012 has been marked by the company for good growth in both sales as well as network services.
