Gray Design envisions street legal LeMans Prototype in Edge Concept car

Created for the 500 Group, this prototype car is a street legal LeMans racer that puts most dedicated sportsters seen on the road to shame. The exterior design proposal by designer Eduard Gray of Gray Design looks to make the Edge Concept Car as authentically American as possible with suave wings, vents and fins that define its supreme aerodynamic quality and bring out its boldness.

Running on a potent supercharged E-Rod LS9, LS7 or LS3 V8 engine from GM that can squeeze out a massive 638hp, the powertrain on the Edge Concept Car will feature performance parts hardware exclusively from GM since the concept came into being via a General Motors special-projects supply agreement.

For each individual track, engineers can tweak the concept to suit all kinds of racing environments allowing the driver to squeeze the highest performance out of the vehicle. The design language used in the Edge Concept Car is typically American with its styling incorporating performance specific detailing and body panels.
