Jeep Wrangler Mountain Special Edition coming to Geneva Motor Show

Although paying more attention to the North American market, Jeep plan to shift focus to Europe too by gearing up for the upcoming 2012 Geneva Motor Show with three new models all set to make their debut. The three new models will include the Jeep Wrangler, Brand Cherokee concept and the Jeep Compass. The introduction of these three new efforts are likely to boost Jeep’s rankings in Europe and hopefully, help build stronger ties with the European automobile market. Here, we look at the three new introductions from Jeep before their launch at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

The Jeep Wrangler Mountain is based off the Jeep Wrangler Sport with Mountain graphics just above the fenders, a black hood decal and a fuel filler door in black. It comes with 18-inch wheels in mineral gray color while the body comes in five different colors. The Wrangler Mountain is available in two engine choices including a 2.8L turbo diesel engine with 197-hp along with 339 lb-ft of torque and a higher-performing 3.6L V6 engine with 280-hp and 256 lb-ft of torque. The interiors are decorated with fabric seats specially embroidered with Mountain logos and slush floor mats.

On the other hand, the Jeep Grand Cherokee holds some resemblance to the production-intent concept vehicles that were unveiled at the Washington D.C and Houston Auto Show a couple of weeks ago. The Grand Cherokee concept boasts of a white exterior paint, mesh grille insert, black grille surround, black liftgate trim panel, black headlamp bezels and huge 20-inch ten spoke wheels in black. Interiors are designed with seating surfaces finely trimmed in Nappa leather and suede, besides carbon fiber trim accents and a bright pedal trim.

Lastly, the glossy black Jeep Compass will be equipped with new grille inserts, fog lamp and headlamp surrounds, roof rails, rear bumper step pad and 18-inch wheels. Inside, the seating surfaces are specially trimmed in black leather and the door sill plates are made from aluminum.Via: Motortrend
