This ski combines the advantages of a rocker (shovel section bent up) with those of a traditional camber. This allows the ski set to have the versatility and turnability of the rocker while the camber gives it optimum power, edge grip and control. The skis also follow in the footsteps of the new K2 Collection and use the revolutionary K2 BASELINE technology to ensure that they are a perfect match for the BMW M’s all-terrain performance. The K2 LTD. BMW M Design Edition measures 174cm (181cm) in length with the tip measuring 132 cm, the middle measuring 90 cm and the tail measuring 115 cm.

At 181cm, the skis have a radius of 20m. With an All Terrain RockerTM Baseline, the skis feature drilled holes in shovel and ski tail for attaching skins and come with an paulownia/aspen core. The K2 LTD. BMW M Design Edition All-Terrain Rocker Skis with Progressive Sidecut are constructed with Hybritech sidewalls and metal laminate.

The numbered limited edition of 500 pairs will not be offered via retail outlets but will be offered as prizes in the 2012 edition of the BMW xDrive Cup. The BMW xDrive course also offers winter fans a first-hand experience to test drive the intelligent xDrive four-wheel drive system. Over 13 winter sports venues in Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Germany will host this event and winter sports enthusiasts would be able to win badges by purchasing a ski pass in one of the BMW xDrive Partner ski areas.

Enthusiasts can also get a Badge in return by posting their own personal SkiMovies online in 10 of these 13 destinations. A specially-marked-out giant slalom will also allow snowboard and ski enthusiasts to compete against one another. At these BMW xDrive Cup destinations, Badges can be earned by skiing down selected routes and for every 5,000 meters of altitude you cover, you get a special Performance Badge. If the weather doesn’t permit you to have a go at the badges on the slopes, you can always try and find a hidden link for the Webtour Badge at the event’s official website.
