Les Paul Guitar made from scrap bicycle parts is an audiophile's fantasy

The sound of rock and roll would not be the same were it not for the solid-body electric guitar which was pioneered by American country and jazz guitarist Les Paul. And though the guitars invented by the music legend have served other rock and roll gods like Eric Clapton well, New York-based designer Fitgi Saint-Louis used the parts of one Les Paul guitar along with a handful of parts from junked bicycles to create what is undoubtedly the most unique guitar we have ever seen.

Not only does the guitar uses one of the wheels from the bike to fashion the body of the guitar, other bike parts like the chain and gears have also been used in the creation of the unique instrument. The striking and crisp red finish of the guitar make it look hot as hell though we’re not entirely sure if the metal spokes and the rubber tyre interfere with the sound of the guitar or not.

With just four (and we hope working) strings, you may not be able to play all your favorite rock songs in all their original glory but lugging this puppy around the street or even having it up on a wall in your apartment should definitely help you fascinate dates (or potential dates) with musical anecdotes or your love for the planet and your dedication for recycling!
