Maruti Suzuki is known for its low cost vehicles in India, but with Kizashi, Indo-Japanese conglomerate tried to shed its low cost tag. Maruti Suzuki Kizashi is the attempt by Suzuki to launch itself into the sedan segment. The company is aiming at maintaining its sporty image owing to its motorcycles that command a good market share. Maruti Suzuki Kizashi means “coming up of something great” which is in line with the company’s aspirations. The sedan is a product of in-house engineering and designing by Suzuki. With Kizashi, Maruti Suzuki directly competing with Volkwagon Passat, Skoda Superb, Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata Transform and Nissan Teana. Its all competitors are known for the class and luxury.  However, Suzuki tried its hand in this segment with improved responsive handling, good steering and captivating performance at the same time withholding quality ride experience. Maruti Suzuki has adorned its Kizashi with 2.4 Litre capacity engine with four-cylinder giving high-output complimented with Variable Valve Timing (VVT Technology). Power of the car can be transmitted thought CVT Transmission or six-speed manual transmission, whereas CVT Transmission comes with the standard paddle shifters. It has displacement of 2393 CC that generate 178PS @6500rpm Power and 230Nm @4000rpm Torque. Maruti Suzuki had great expectation from Kizashi, but till now it had only produced dismal results.
