McChip-DKR releases new MC700 conversion kits for the Mercedes-Benz SLS

McChip-DKR, the German ECU upgrade specialist, has announced two new turning packages called the MC700 for the Mercedes SLS AMG. The model comes factory fitted with a 6.2 liter V8 engine that displaces 650 Nm of torque and produces 571 hp. The first tuning program comes with a set of ECU re-calibrations, a Capristo exhaust system and a new mechanically driven compressor which boosts the engine output by 120 Nm of torque bumping it to 770 Nm and upgrades the power output by 107 hp which allows the SLS AMG to deliver a total of 671 hp.

The second package is aimed more towards export markets. The high performance package does not come with a TUV certificate but adds a ‘stage 4′ ECU tune and sports catalyzers to the vehicle. This allows the powertrain on the Mercedes SLS AMG to produce 793 Nm of torque and a 696 horsepower output. The tuner claims that conversions based on either package can be completed in as little as five working days. The stage one German market-friendly entry-level package is priced at $88,060 which isn’t cheap by any stretch of the imagination but does go a long way if you’re looking to add a little extra to the performance of your new Mercedes SLS AMG. The stage two high-performance package is priced at $99,520.
