Japanese Auto manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors tied with Hindustan Motors to launch their popular mid segment sedan Lancer in India in 1998 and was completely redesigned in 2010. Lancer is a very stylish car with bold and sporty looks, rally proven engine and lots of interior and exterior features. The handling of the car is good and provides a nice driving experience with several safety features. Mitsubishi Lancer is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The car comes with an excellent 5-speed manual transmission. The flowing symmetry of the Mitsubishi Lancer is an attention grabber. The first thing you notice on the car is a wedge-like profile and crisp, taut lines. Mitsubishi Lancer’s nose seems to be a copy of Audi's oversized grille, although the body-colored front bumper perfectly splits it up minimizing the gaping mouth. Complete with a longer wheelbase and wider track, the new Lancer is slightly shorter than its earlier models. The big rear wing on the other models blocks a chunk of visibility out the rear window.

The Mitsubishi Lancer is elegant and sophisticated once you step inside. Instruments and dash are pleasing to the eye, and control knobs and switches for the various functions are easy to use. Cubbies and console compartments are good and plentiful, including cupholders between the front seats and in the front door pockets. The car comes with tilt adjustable power steering, electric-maneuverable mirrors and door mounted controls, besides very elegant upholstery and fittings. The sport bucket seats are comfortable, afford an excellent seating position, and are made of a handsome rugged cloth.
