Nanites-infused “skin” makes the Blur Concept virtually maintenance free

The Blur Concept Vehicle is a modern sport car for folks who want a futuristic vehicle but not something that looks like something The Jetsons would have used. The vehicle is designed to facilitate ease of maintenance with its ultra strong lightweight steel frame and fiberglass aluminum/carbon fiber body allowing the vehicle to maintain a relatively low kerb weight.

Though designer Michael Merkler intends for the 2+2 seater to boast of a contemporary appeal, he still maintains that the vehicle is virtually vandal-proof with its highly developed nanotechnology-based regenerative “skin” repairing a damaged section, tires or even scratches automatically using self replicating Nanites. Though the vehicle itself isn’t indestructible, its Nanites-infused outer layer makes it dust- and weather-proof as well as corrosion- and scratch- resistant. The windshield of the Blur Concept is layered with the same regenerative and weather-proof coating which makes the use of windshield wipers redundant.

The windows and glass used in the vehicle feature a tint-selection technology which would allow users to switch from a low-tint to a high-tint. The sunroof and the windshield also feature a photosynthesis-like sunlight capturing ability similar to PV panels which allow the vehicle to recharge its batteries when the vehicle is exposed to the sun. The use of LED lamps throughout the interior and exterior helps preserve battery charge while Luminophore-laced rims glow in the dark and allow owners to locate their vehicle in dark parking lots with ease.

The Blur is powered by a diesel-run turbocharged 2.8L V6 engine that outputs 300 ponies and provides a maximum speed of 260km/h as well as an electrical motor that offers a top speed of120km/h. Mated to an automatic transmission, the AWD vehicle uses energy boosting features like regenerative braking and its battery pack would also receive power via the sunlight processed by the sunroof and the windshield and the kinetic energy harnessed by the movement of doors.
