Tips to test used car's performance before buying

It does not matter where or from whom you buy a car from, no matter how trustworthy they are, you must always check the vehicle scrupulously or better still, take it to a mechanic for a complete run down. Slap on an old pair of jeans and an old T-Shirt and go over the car from headlight to taillight. You can learn a lot by just using your three primary senses of vision, smell and hearing. Always remember to take along a knowledgeable friend and make sure that the vehicle inspection takes place in broad daylight. A floodlight tends to make the car appear shiny and hides any physical defects. Also, insist that the car be driven for an hour before the actual inspection takes place.
