Remember the Peel brand? Yes, it is the same brand which once produced the world’s smallest car. This smallest car is set to go into production again as a group of British businessmen have decided to resurrect the Peel brand. It is expected that very soon both the P50 and the Trident will be seen running on roads because the manufacturer will produce both models.

A 49 cc two-stroke gasoline engine will be used in both the models. The engine will deliver an output of 3.35 horsepower. The cars will also come with two different types of electric motors to choose from.
The 1.6 horsepower brushless electric motor will deliver 2.5 pound-feet of torque and it will allow the car to hit a high speed of 15 mph. The P50 and Trident sporting this electric motor will have a range of around 50 miles. On the other hand, the 4 horsepower motor will allow the vehicle to hit a high speed of 50 mph with the same range.
The weight of the Trident is 130 lbs, while the P50 is little heavier at 198 lbs. The company has manufactured 50 first limited edition Peel models, out which 41 are already sold. The starting price is around $10,772 and if you are willing to own one then you will have to submit a $1,546 deposit. You can get more information related to the purchasing method on the Peel website. We think that this car will do good business because the market for small cars is still expanding and many people still prefer to move around in small cars to cover short distances in order to avoid traffic congestion.
